If domestic abuse is happening in your home, don’t try to stop it – you might get hurt. Instead:
- Call 999 and ask for the police.
If you don’t feel safe calling from your home,
use a phone box or call from a friend’s house.
- Find a safe place away from the fight.
Tell a friend or an adult you trust. If a fight happens, call them. Sometimes in an emergency it’s useful to sort out a ‘codeword’ so that the other person knows what is going on, and can get help.
