In 2023, Edinburgh Women’s Aid commemorated 50 years of service. Although attitudes are changing, with awareness increasing and stigma decreasing, the incidence of domestic abuse is still high and so there is still a long way to go in our fight for a society free from domestic abuse – over 2000 women contact us each year.
