Can I get a case dropped at court?

Prosecution decisions are made by the Procurator Fiscal (PF). They will proceed if there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest. You cannot stop a prosecution once it has started. For inquiries, contact the PF office directly. We will support you if you are feeling pressured by the perpetrator to say you don’t want the case to proceed.
